Go to the Beach:
There are six "public access" beach areas popular with visitors (five are attended by life guards from Memorial weekend to Labor Day). Pay parking is available at all but the Islander's Beach Park, and there are reserved parking spots for local residents who purchase annual beach tags. Shannon Tanner Kids Show:
Shannon Tanner returns to Shelter Cove Harbor each year offering his unique family friendly performance with sing-alongs and participation from young audience members. Shannon is a long tim favorite of locals and visitors of the Island and puts on a show that you will be talking about for years to come! Be usre to bring your cameras parents! Performances are held each April thru August.
The Sandbox is a hands-on interactive museum filled with unique entertaining, and educational play areas to explore. Children can sail away on Captain William Hilton’s ship of discovery or find their Passport to the World in the international airport terminal with a plane ready for little pilots to fly. Explore our web site to see some of what The Sandbox has to offer! The admission is $6 for adults and children two years and older. Children under two years old are free.
THE COASTAL DISCOVERY MUYSEUM AT HONEY HORN
70 Honey Horn Drive
This museum is located on 68 acres of 300-year-old land which boast South Carolina'a largest Southern red Cedar tree(dating back to 1595) and some of the island's oldest buildings. The museum offers guided walks dolphin and nature cruises and the new butterfly enclosure.
The museums's other location is on Route 278 next to The Crazy Crab). There is an exhibition gallery, gift shop and sweetgrass basket makers who are selling their wares.
Indoor Inflatable Fun & Creative Play for kids,open 7 days a week.
Located on Hwy. 278 in Bridge Center(before the bridge onto Hilton Head)
